Favourit moment
I have a confession to make. I have never been too thrilled about coffee following church services. First of all, I don’t drink coffee, and as a tea drinker you are often sort of neglected at these gatherings (Lipton’s Yellow tea bags and lukewarm water at best!). Secondly, to be honest, the conversation is seldom very interesting (the weather, latest gossip from the congregation). So at my old job, I did my duty, and then got out of there as soon as possible. I know this confession might be controversial – as a minister you are supposed to look forward so these things. All the more reason then to announce that coffee after the service nowadays is one of my favourite moments of the week. The tea hasn’t gotten that much better – but the conversation! I guess it is not so strange when you consider who usually attends. People from all over the world and with very different backgrounds when it comes to culture and beliefs. So nowadays I actually have a different problem – getting out of there on time! Don’t forget the service this coming Sunday (16/1) at S:t Mikael, kiliansgatan 9 (for directions see www.lundsdomkyrka.se/english)
