Sound investments

For several years now the world has been in economic turmoil. People have lost their jobs and houses. Banks have gone under and countries are on the verge of bankruptcy. It is a crisis that has gotten a lot of attention. But there are other problems in the world that are even more acute – problems that we don’t hear much about any more. Children are dying every day from preventable causes. People are starving and the environment is at risk. Where should our focus be? In the gospel of Luke we can read the following words: “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money”. This coming Sunday we will get the opportunity to think more about this. You will also get some good investment advice from an unusual source.
